The most recognized symbol of Canada – the maple leaf.  The maple leaf isn’t just something Canadians look at;  it is used and displayed as a show of love for our country. The maple leaf is part of the Canadian identity. On February 15, 1965 the red maple leaf flag was inaugurated as the National Flag of Canada. The maple leaf on the flag is a generic maple, representing the 10 species of maple trees native to Canada.

The Royal Museum Shop is operated by the Royal BC Museum Foundation. All proceeds from the sale of merchandise go directly towards supporting the many fine programs and special events at the Royal BC Museum.
