Description

This panoramic view, from a rise above the Songhees settlement, shows First Nations homes, the Inner Harbour and the village that was overtaking the Hudson’s Bay Company’s Fort Victoria.  Demolition of the Fort commenced shortly afterwards and was complete in 1864.
