Every Child Matters Youth Tshirt

$26.00

Our youth shirt features the work of Tsimshian artist Morgan Asoyuf.  Morgan’s design, a heart with the words “Every Child Matters”, is a visual reminder that all children have rights, deserve to be loved, and that Every Child Matters.

Also available in adult sizes.

Due to the demand for orange shirts, some variations in colour tone between sizes may occur.

We wear orange shirts to honour the children who did not make it home from Residential Schools, all survivors, and their families.

Proceeds from the sale of these shirts will be directed by the manufacturer to Orange Shirt Society, BC Aboriginal Child Care Association, and the Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund.

The Royal Museum Shop is operated by the Royal BC Museum Foundation. All proceeds from the sale of merchandise go directly towards supporting the many fine programs and special events at the Royal BC Museum.

“Art is an intimate connection to our history, identity and our community. I am honoured to continue our traditions and to share them.”

September 30th marks ORANGE SHIRT DAY: Every Child Matters, Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day of remembrance and respect to honour the students and survivors of Canada’s Residential School system.

On this day, Canadians are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to show their support for survivors and pay respects to those who did not make it.
