Arbutus, or Pacific Madrone, are magnificent trees that grow along the west coast of British Columbia and south along the coast of North America.  This unique piece is handcrafted from local arbutus that has fallen during its natural cycle and is collected respectfully by the artist while hiking. The design for each piece comes to life as it is cut free-hand on a scroll saw, making every piece an original.

Mounted and matted in an open, wood framed shadow box, this piece measures 4 x 6″.
