We are thrilled to introduce our brand-new Orange Shirt Design for 2023. Created by the amazing Coast Salish artist, Simone Diamond, this design beautifully captures the essence of Simone’s statement “Protected by Our Ancestors” while embodying the powerful message of “Every Child Matters”
By wearing Every Child Matters shirts we are starting a conversation about Reconciliation and paying respect to Residential School survivors, those who did not make it home and their families
proceeds of Every Child Matters shirts purchases will be directed by Native Northwest to the Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund, with the goal of advancing Reconciliation by funding initiatives that support Indigenous wellness, learning, and culture.

September 30th marks ORANGE SHIRT DAY: Every Child Matters​, Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation a day of remembrance and respect to honour the students and survivors of Canada’s Residential School system.

On this day, Canadians are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to show their support for survivors and pay respects to those who did not make it and their families.
